Opening in 2005, The Texas Surf Museum in downtown Corpus Christi showcases the little-known surfing community of coastal Texas. It’s a must-see for surfers and a favorite among tourists. In 2020, it was time for a refresh and new exhibit. We redesigned the museum in its entirety to showcase the Pat Magee Collection and honor the man who created the iconic Pat Magee’s Surf Shop in Port Aransas. This exhibit was special in that all items displayed (all from Pat Magee’s personal collection) were also for sale. The design concept was texture and flow. Custom displays to house vintage magazines, vinyl records, books, surf boards, to name a few, were created with natural materials and subdued wood tones.
